December 20, 2005 | Big News!
Well, we have some news. As we were traveling back through Tanzania, Musy and I swung by a private clinic with our team member who needed to get a check up. While we were waiting for her, we decided to give Musy a pregnancy test. As you can all guess by now it came back with a huge plus mark on it. We are proud to announce that the HARTS are pregnant. This was planned, however we did not think that it would happen right away. We are both overjoyed and extremely excited. Besides our immediate family, you all are the first to know. Please pray for the both of us as we start to enter this new season of our lives. People are already starting to ask us if we are going back to the States to have the child; right now we are planning on having the baby here in Africa, and continuing with Iris. I will have more information in the next month about due dates, but the doctor thinks she is 6-7 weeks into the pregnancy. PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!! We all pray that you have an incredible Christmas.
Blessings,
Will and Musy

Hey everyone!!
Merry Christmas!!!! We had a great time here in Pemba, and we wanted to share it with you. We hope you had a precious one too. On Saturday we had a candle service with the kids. You would probably think this is normal... Well, not quite!! This is not the Christmas Eve you are used to, and it is definitely not a silent night. Kids started running with candles and trying to blow out other kidsŴ candles!! Imagine close to 50 kids all doing that at the same time; it was a miracle that no paper decorations that we had around the room caught on fire!! We started worship with the candles, and everyone also participated dancing in worship. It was so precious. Anyways, they preached and prayed; by the time we finished it was past midnight, but the kids were happy and tired at the end of the service.
Our Christmas morning started around 8:30 AM, getting the kidsŴ rooms ready with balloons and some other Christmas decorations we had made. Heidi came at about 10 AM to start giving the gifts out, child by child. She really took the time and hugged each one of them. We started with the youngest dorm. The kids were so precious, sitting down to get their gift. Their faces were priceless!! It was so simple but so deep at the same time. We stopped giving the gifts because a wedding also took place. When church was done we went to the beach to do baptisms!!! For Christmas, Iris decided to give out food to everyone who came to church. Chicken is a big treat for the Mozambicans. After three in the afternoon, we started serving lunch to the kids of the center first, followed by the kids of the community and so forth. DonŴt forget that some of the kids from the community have not been in school, so imagine trying to give direction and expecting them to follow directions!! It was quite a challenge. At the same time, with every plate you give out you can feel this is part of GodŴs heart. His heart breaks for things a lot different than I thought they would. So different!! It was precious, busy, intense, and at some times it was even frustrating. In the middle of everything we had an incredible time, and a great Christmas!!
Blessings,
Will and Musy
